A tribute to the world's toughest rally

Kudu + trees

Every Safari Rally will have a certain feeling when you mention the Kenya event. It’s a blast from the past, an excitement different from any other. For a very long time the rally was the only endurance rally, covering thousands of miles of special stages, in a beautiful yet terrifying scenery on open roads between wild animals!

On the image you can see the image that was once the splash screen of this website in 2001. This domain was once the original website of the Safari Rally before they moved it to My idea is to use this old domain as an tribute and keep the old rally alive with event photo’s and share my personal memorabilia collection. Visit regular to find more and more content, enjoy!

Book of Inspiration

When I just rolled in the world of the Safari Rally I discovered a book by Tim Davis. It wasn’t long ago published and I found his advertisement of the limited run. Got the book as a birthday present and I loved it ever since. Although it’s not complete, there are just too many Safari Rally items scattered around, it’s one of the most complete books I know of.

Tim was participant in the 80s and much involved in the years to follow. He created a large cabinet with all the podiums and the winners of each rally.

The book is in many ways my inspiration and helps me a lot as reference for the items I collect and have displayed on this website. Thank you Tim for putting so much time and effort into this book!
